  The Sun is a star, it is our nearest star. It makes the light that we can see from the Sun. The light from stars is made by those stars, it’s not made by the Sun.
  The Sun (in fact all stars) makes its light by smashing atoms together. When the atoms collide they make an atom of a heavier element and some energy is realised. That energy is the light.
