• Question: How long does it take to build a space craft

      It depends what kind of spacecraft. Where I work we try to build smaller satellites which take less time so mabe a couple of years from start to finish. This time includes all the design, building and then testing of the whole satellite. On some bigger projects, big scientific missions like ESA does, this period of building and testing can take a lot longer because of the complexity of the design. These missions can sometimes take decades to build!
