I would say so, its gotten me this far! I struggled with Physics through school, I only began to find it interesting at A level, and although I was good at it, I really struggle with exams – 1 year I had 8 physics exams in 1 week because I was retaking some! So I ended up getting a D at A level in Physics – which wasn’t great considering I wanted to go to University of Manchester to study Physics! But I got an offer from the university to study on their Physics Foundation Year, which meant that I went to university to start my course, but I just had to study a year longer with the foundation course at the beginning. The foundation course meant that we studied lots that we had studied at A level in more detail, undertook our own projects but then also studied further maths and further physics through labs and lectures. I finished that year with 90%! So I would hold to that I love physics and am good at it, but school wasn’t the right environment for me to learn and exams really didn’t suit my learning style.
