• Question: Do you think the idea of Virgin creating an airline is a good idea?

      I think the idea of Virgin creating a spaceplane is a good idea – it’s always good to provide competition and there are lots of experiments that could be done on such a vehicle.
      Also, because of the challenges involved in creating something that can work in both air and space, it means we’ll learn a lot about the limits of different materials and ways of engineering – so we could all be doing things in a much smarter way later on: cheaper, more environmentally friendly etc.

      I think any development of technology that can make it easier to get to space is a good idea. Not just so we can get to space but also so we can use any discoveries we make in other ways on Earth.
