Rhys Archer answered on 17 Jun 2015:

I look up to a Professor at The University of Manchester called Professor Danielle George. She spoke at an event I was at once, and I went to have a chat with her about completing a PhD and she was very nice and offered to mentor me. She does lots of work with young people, as well as teaching at university, and lots of research in her area of electrical engineering. She also presented the Royal Society BBC Christmas lecture series last year! Even though she is a very esteemed professor, she is still very down to earth and happy to help me. She is also a fantastic example of a female in science!
